How do I Adopt and Animal ... ?

Adopting an Animal is a great way to help our work at Something Wild.

The money raised through these adoptions assists in buying specialised milk formulas for our orphaned babies.

Does Something Wild receive Govt Funding to rehabilitate animals... ?

Something Wild is a privately funded wildlife sanctuary set up to rehabilitate orphaned and injured wildlife.  We receive NO GOVT FUNDING to do this work.

Something Wild is the only true rehabilitation wildlife sanctuary in Tasmania because not only do we raise orphaned wildlife

but we are the only sanctuary in Tasmania. to have the PROTECTED land to facilitate the Safe release of these animals.

This is monitored for the ongoing welfare of these animals.  We do not just release the animal into any patch of bushland to fend for themselves after raising

them which is the traditional und unsuccessful way that other facilities manage the wildlife they raise. The area is monitored before and after release to determine the best release site and ongoing safety of these animals.
